Soggy Disney Adventure

it was a scary soggy mess at Disneyland. Tried to make the best of it. Lemme say that Disney made a killing with rain slickers. Wet hair, soggy costumes, closed rides but still we were out there like the rest of the Diehards. HA! My baby was supposed to be the Queen of Hearts. Made her the cutest little headband for it. the crown was made of playing cards. Well, that went well with the water as you can see. The haunted mansion was all done up for Halloween, this was fantastic inside. No pics though. sadface. I really wasn't into the mood of taking many photos. wonder why? Jade was excited to take a pic with this toy story army dude, but wth? where was buzz light year? all we got was his two little girlfriends. There was a spectacular fire works show at the end after the parade, that i didn't take pics of. lol My most fave picture of the night. Love the illuminated castle in the back ground. so pretty. fave number 2, i just like the way it looks. oh yeah, me in the mad ha

pumpkin patch + deleted pix = ZOMG!

It's that annual Pumpkin patch tradition time! Heading down to Borchard Farms is an ultimate favorite fall, before Halloween event for us. Picking pumpkins, pulling the cart, drinking hot apple cider, playing in the Halloween Jump houses....all that fun stuff. I live for it. We took the kids out on Sunday 10/11 to try and find the perfect pumpkin. Right before we got there, I took my laptop and uploaded all my pictures from my XD card. This way I'd have plenty of room to take my beloved traditional fall pumpkin pictures. Good idea, right? Well prepared, right? Yes and yes. Took the pics. No problem. My Jade. Check out the piece sign on the pumpkin. loves it. My Niece Danielle, my kiddies (aubs scrunchie face) and my beautiful Momma Gloria. a lil' collage of pics from the outing.... closeups of my perfect pumpkins. so cute. loves it. and Ta Da! They are are hugging, not fighting, no pushing no pulling, no stoppits no yelling. Just Perfect. le sigh. Picking, or shall I s

Flavors from L to R... Pink Velvet, Chocolate with Coconut Frosting, Oreo, Chocolate Chocolate and Carrot Cake. Took the kids to Dennis the Menace Park in Monterey on Saturday 10/9. Kids had a blast all over the park. Before we got there we made a pit stop at a cupcake shop. Mrs. Delish Cupcake Boutique. Pricey little suckers at $3 a pop. We got the 6 for $15 deal which somehow in my brain sounded better than $3 each. I saved a whole WHOPPING $3 dollars by buying a half dozen. Yeah. Math. Clearly not a strongpoint. HA! Train conductor for the day. Mr. Jaden Presley. All Aboard! Little Miss Sunshine Jaden chose the Oreo Cupcake. Oreo frosting, chocolate cake with an Oreo surprise at the bottom! Yums. I love these shots of Jaden. Almost 7 years old. My first October baby. His birthday is only 17 days away! The middle picture is a glimpse into the future. He looks 13'ish to me in it. Handsome boy. xoxo Here's my Aubs. She chose the Pink Velvet cupcake with Pink frosting and ch

That spooky month of ghosts and orange and black hues is upon us. The weather is changing, getting crisper and colder. I'm in the mood to pull out my ever growing Halloween decorations and start casting the Halloween magic inside and outside of my house. My taste in Halloween is all about nostalgic looking pieces for me. Not sure why but my eye is drawn to certain motifs that are charming, old fashioned, semi folk art and whimsical combined. Here's a look at my Halloween decor in my living room . I have a huge window/shelf area behind my couch and I love to do a whole holiday theme there for the Fall and Winter holidays. My kids love it but I think I may just love it a little bit more. A black crow....the witche's most faithful minon pearched atop a gathering of crosses and glittery pumpkins. A hissing kitty on honeycomb and glittery chandeliers hang from the ceiling overlooking the grouping of my favorite whimsical pumpkins witches and past Halloween photographs in bla

Punch.Drunk.Love.

I'm a punch girl. I love using them on scrapbook pages and cards. The edger type are cool to use on the side's of photos. They are a great bang for your buck, if you buy the right one, of course! I have plenty that I never ever use so I have to really love love love it before I commit to buying it these days. You gotta have a round corner edger in your stash along with a circle punch, nesting scalloped punches are really good to use. I've been using them alot more lately with the PSA Essentials Stamp products. I'm waiting for my DT swag to come in so I can get busy crafting! So with that, It makes me think I'm in need of some more punches! these are some that I love and use regularly..... Punches I really need..... This punch is from Studio Calico and I really really really really really really really want this one. Did I say really enough there? HA! It's just a versatile edger punch that I know I will use time and time again. Another go to punch, like the lar

Birthdays and Butterflies

Just seems like yesterday that I was in the hospital bringing this beautiful little beam of sunshine in to the world. I already had a gorgeous little boy but dreamed and dreamed of having a little girl one day. A little bff. A little mini me. Dresses and bows. Dollies and Tea parties. My wish came true on October 2, 2007. Happy Birthday Little Miss October! Flash forward 3 years. Unbelievable how time has passed so quickly. So many amazing moments with her and milestones. I'm beyond blessed to have her in our lives. This darling, girly little inquisitive child of ours who sings Miley Cyrus, Adam Lambert and Mike Posner songs at the top of her lungs. She's all personality and pigtails, this one. Her day was all about pretty colors and butterflies for this birthday. She wore pink sparkly wings, a swarovsky blingged out pink flower in her hair, a cute shirt with a piece of cake on it with a rosette, a ruffle skirt and chocolate colored glittered mary janes. Nana Pat, who always m
