pumpkin patch + deleted pix = ZOMG!

It's that annual Pumpkin patch tradition time! Heading down to Borchard Farms is an ultimate favorite fall, before Halloween event for us. Picking pumpkins, pulling the cart, drinking hot apple cider, playing in the Halloween Jump houses....all that fun stuff. I live for it. We took the kids out on Sunday 10/11 to try and find the perfect pumpkin.
Right before we got there, I took my laptop and uploaded all my pictures from my XD card. This way I'd have plenty of room to take my beloved traditional fall pumpkin pictures. Good idea, right? Well prepared, right? Yes and yes. Took the pics. No problem.

My Jade. Check out the piece sign on the pumpkin. loves it.

My Niece Danielle, my kiddies (aubs scrunchie face) and my beautiful Momma Gloria.

a lil' collage of pics from the outing....

closeups of my perfect pumpkins. so cute. loves it.

and Ta Da! They are are hugging, not fighting, no pushing no pulling, no stoppits no yelling.
Just Perfect. le sigh.

Picking, or shall I say choosing pumpkins like whoa while rocking some cool kicks. Love this kid.
and btw, if you notice that my husband and I are non existent in these photos it was totally on purpose. You see, I currently look like a demon blood eyed crazy right now. Broke a blood vessel in my eye and it looks sick. Totes ready for Halloween two weeks early. I wore sunglasses like I was Kanye West at night.
SO LETS GET TO THE DELETED PICTURES PART.
So I leave the pics alone until Monday night. I tell myself, need to edit pictures. Mosey on over to open the files from my XD card and I gots nothing. NOTHING. I almost crapped my pants. It would not pull up the photos. HOLY SHIZ. I deleted them somehow. WHAT!! HOW!! WHY!!
is it dorky that i teared up at the thought of loosing these precious photos? is it totally cute that the husby said "we can go back, we'll just put the same clothes on the kids this weekend!" to make me feel better? yes. and yes. but i wanted them back!
I Facebooked my problem and a friend said to take it to a local camera shop and see if they could retrieve my lost photos. I went after work today and if you saw all that pumpkin goodness, you know they were able to get most of my pix on a disk. I did loose a few corrupted files but got them back for the most part!! Thank you Grilled Cheesus!!

now you know if this ever happens to you, you just might be able to get them back!! Not all is lost Amigos!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

It's May already? Where has the time gone? We are almost halfway through Twenty10! I've been playing with paper and glue lately and recently came up with this layout featuring the new Spring Tags from Shabby Shic Crafts! Loving the awesome Springtime colors and cute designs Veronica and Albert have come up with this time around. This silly little picture of me and my daughter was taken from one of those token taking machines that take your picture and the computer "draws" it out on paper. You know the the ones they have at Chuck E. Cheese type of places? Of all the pictures I have, this has got to be one of my favorite ones I have of me and my baby girl when she was about one and a half. A little closer. loving the cluster above the picture. To celebrate NSD, Shabby Shic Crafts and the Design Team Members are hosting a fun Blog Hop and giveaway! Leave a comment for a chance to win a package of 30 fantastic Tags from Shabby Shic! Where's that baby, huh?

Lot's of emails waiting for me in my inbox that had not been checked in almost one month in a half, (Gasp!!!!) that had been asking if I had given birth yet or if I was going on a 2 year long pregnancy. Even though it seemed that way, either that or I was having a 20 lb baby (ouch..or a 12 lb'er like my local sb friend!)....anywhoo..... Aubrielle Rose Padilla came into this world a whole 2 weeks early, much to my surprise, because I was expecting her around the 14th!... she weighed a hefty 7.2 lbs (I'm kidding, since J was a 9 lber!!) and was a full 20 inches long. She's got all 10 fingers and toes, a full head of dark hair, and she's Jaden's mini me, just a smaller version of him, but with girl parts. lol Hard delivery, long delivery, it seriously dropped kicked me on my caboose. Aubrielle had a bad case of jaundace that we had to address with daily trips to the hopspital but I'm happy to report that she's much better now. I'm sorry this post dos
