so i wake up this morning, ready to start my long weekend off from work, get up about 7 to get jaden ready for school and guess friggen what? Smashed to smithereens is the front passenger window. a million little pieces. my purse gone. Stop. Rewind. Yep, I said purse. Yep, I left it in the car last night. Go ahead and say it. STUPID Move, I know. I mean I left the friggen' theif and invitation to come and break in. So my purse and all it's contents are gone. My red presciption glasses, all my make up, my wallet- Id's, credit cards, checkbook........um, basically my right arm. I've had to cancel everything, reorder everything, open new accounts, you know all that goes along with that. Called all three credit agencies to report the social security card that was also in my wallet. I still need to do the DMV thing. Yeah, great start to this long weekend. AND to top it off. David's work just filed chapter 11 and we didn't even realize that his paycheck for last w

You guys. I'm super stoked. I HAD NO FRIGGEN IDEA THAT AN ANTHRO STORE WAS 30 MINUTES AWAY. Found out today, that we have one in Carmel at Carmel Village. Before yesterday, I thought the nearest one was San Fransisco. HELLO! Where the heck have I been? I SWEAR they must have built it yesterday. I know there is a LV store there because I bought my 1st Louie in the Village. I'm shocked! So shocked that I had to blog about it. This right under the heels of Kristina Contes' current ANTHRO book post on her blog. Super cool inspo book, check it. What other stores are around here that I don't exist? There is probably a PinkBerry around the corner that I don't know of. I called my friend about it and she had no idea either. We are going to have lunch and do an Anthro visit on Saturday. YAY! There are beautiful beaches a hop, jump and a skip away too, literally down the street so I'll bring the camera. Should be fun! PS thanks for the flat iron suggestions! xoxox cp

Finally got scrappy. Took me a couple of days to get in there and get it rolling. Thew on Lady Gaga (who i completely love) and cranked these babies out. Totally fun. I have a hot mess of photos to scrap. Going to TRY and use more than one photo on a page. Forgot to post my project of the latest Scrapjacked! Changed up a wall in my room, spray painted a frame and added some paper to stretched canvas frames. I'm kind of in a weird transition in my room, still changing. Speaking of changes, we are doing a few different things for 2009 including introducing a new member! Meg Barker will be joining us! Exciting and fun things, be sure to come and visit us........'cuz you never know, you might be next!! So jealous of all the girlies going to CHA. I haven't been to a Winter CHA in like two years. Washing blankets for days. Had to call in sick Monday. yuck all the way around. We'll all better now, i'm just glad the worst is over. It's so hard to see your kids sick, but it is even harder when your sick too and trying to take care of them at the same time. i had planned to get some scrappage done this weekend, but nope. hello. this is my new hair. fresh start for '09. I'm going to *try* and straighten it out for this new do. Try being the key word here. My hairstylist, Marnie, does the most awesome awesome, blowout that I don't think i can accomplish it as well, but i'm going to try. Hello, she didn't even have to use a hot iron on it. If i don't put some type of heat to it it is a frizz ball. No lie. I have naturally wavy hair and it's always been so hard to get it stick straight that I just use a large barrel curler on it and it's good to go. i like it for now, but i think i want to thin out the bottom a bit. well see! ************************************* Anyone watching American Idol? Kinda digging the new judge, she's alright. She's even got a good voice, so i think she'll be a good kick in the pants for the show, cuz we all know the way the other judges are. any faves? Christina is no longer a Facebook Virgin! Finally after over one year of starting it, i acutally logged in and attempted to figure it out. I had hesitated for such a long time with the dang thing, always getting friend requests but thinking oh, this is like myspace, blah blah blah. Then yesterday I was chillin' at my friend Mercel's pad and she asked me if i was on facebook. I said kinda, sorta, um well, no. lol She showed me the facebook way and a couple of hours later, another vice was created for me. i was flipping through the channels and see Ken Paves, Jessica Simpson's hairguy putting clip on hair extentions called Hairdo on models........i was instantly sucked in. OMG people. I almost bought hair on from TV. Now of course it would be in their dark brown color, but i'm afraid it would look really hookerish on me? Maybe not. I just miss my long hair hair so much. The easy pay wasn't bad either, but $400 right now, is prob a bad purchase. I'd have serious buyers remorse afterwords. I've been buying a few things here and there to re do my room and came across this pillow at Target that I had to have. And these drapes. I got the pillow and i'll get the drapes later. Stopped at Pier One and got a cool zebra striped pillow and a liime green pillow with a cool black velvet floral design. I've been putting everything in a box and hope it will all flow together. lol we'll see. oh and i made cupcakes and they got a lil toasty. but still yummy. spe

I knew I'd quote that line from Sex in the City one day. just didn't know how, when or in what context. Used it last Tuesday. At Ross...buying a new large Chartruse color pillow....and the cashier was putting it in a too small of a bag. I said it out loud, the cashier giggled. She must have thought i was so clever. clever with knack for quoting my favorite movies. Still waiting to use a few lines from Nacho Libre....j/k. well, not really. hahahahh. *************************************** HAPPY NEW YEAR PEOPLE!!!!!! We chilled at Casa De Padilla, since we like, eternally have no baby sitter. Dinner consisted of BBQ'd ribs, freshly baked potatoes, green beans and garlic rubbed rustic pugliese bread with EVOO. Yumness. A bit of Cheescake Factory dessert was later followed with some hot coffee. I bought some metalic fringed horns and fesive hats for the kiddos and we got them some Martinelli's to ring in the new year. Aubrielle even stayed up for the hoopla. Looking
