so i wake up this morning, ready to start my long weekend off from work, get up about 7 to get jaden ready for school and guess friggen what?

Smashed to smithereens is the front passenger window.
a million little pieces.
my purse gone.

Stop.
Rewind.

Yep, I said purse. Yep, I left it in the car last night.
Go ahead and say it.

STUPID Move, I know.

I mean I left the friggen' theif and invitation to come and break in.

So my purse and all it's contents are gone.
My red presciption glasses, all my make up, my wallet- Id's, credit cards, checkbook........um, basically my right arm.

I've had to cancel everything, reorder everything, open new accounts, you know all that goes along with that. Called all three credit agencies to report the social security card that was also in my wallet. I still need to do the DMV thing.

Yeah, great start to this long weekend.

AND

to top it off.

David's work just filed chapter 11 and we didn't even realize that his paycheck for last week bounced. Not sure what is going to happen there. His employer says "not to worry, we just consolidated out debt". Sure, we won't worry.

Dude, happy friggen new year.

I'm just happy that my car wasn't stolen.
Lesson learned: You might never think the one time you leave your purse in your car it will get stolen. Think again, take it out and don't be stupid like me.

I was on a good scrappy roll before my car was vandalized and violated.

Hope you all have a better start to your weekend then i did!!
Gotta pick up my car at the glass repair place and i think the anthro visit is prolly not going to happen. Ya know, what I paid for the glass was basically my anthro/weekend money. Damn.

peace out.

  3. Wow - that is awful! Such a wake up call to watch your security. But on the other hand, seeing your beautiful lo with yr mother and daughter makes you realise that the most important things are still safe!Such a blessing to have your mother be able to enjoy her grandchildren - mine died early and never saw them. Wah!

  4. Oh CP, that sucks ass! I wish I had some inspirational words of encouragement but I'm fresh out...emotionally drained at this point. BUT I know you are already on the fast track to getting all your stuff lined up. Everybody keeps telling me about the door closing and window opening crap...so ummm...I hope you find your window! (no pun intended!) LOL!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

It's May already? Where has the time gone? We are almost halfway through Twenty10! I've been playing with paper and glue lately and recently came up with this layout featuring the new Spring Tags from Shabby Shic Crafts! Loving the awesome Springtime colors and cute designs Veronica and Albert have come up with this time around. This silly little picture of me and my daughter was taken from one of those token taking machines that take your picture and the computer "draws" it out on paper. You know the the ones they have at Chuck E. Cheese type of places? Of all the pictures I have, this has got to be one of my favorite ones I have of me and my baby girl when she was about one and a half. A little closer. loving the cluster above the picture. To celebrate NSD, Shabby Shic Crafts and the Design Team Members are hosting a fun Blog Hop and giveaway! Leave a comment for a chance to win a package of 30 fantastic Tags from Shabby Shic! Where's that baby, huh?

Lot's of emails waiting for me in my inbox that had not been checked in almost one month in a half, (Gasp!!!!) that had been asking if I had given birth yet or if I was going on a 2 year long pregnancy. Even though it seemed that way, either that or I was having a 20 lb baby (ouch..or a 12 lb'er like my local sb friend!)....anywhoo..... Aubrielle Rose Padilla came into this world a whole 2 weeks early, much to my surprise, because I was expecting her around the 14th!... she weighed a hefty 7.2 lbs (I'm kidding, since J was a 9 lber!!) and was a full 20 inches long. She's got all 10 fingers and toes, a full head of dark hair, and she's Jaden's mini me, just a smaller version of him, but with girl parts. lol Hard delivery, long delivery, it seriously dropped kicked me on my caboose. Aubrielle had a bad case of jaundace that we had to address with daily trips to the hopspital but I'm happy to report that she's much better now. I'm sorry this post dos
