Happy National Scrapbook Day!

Hello Blog land! It's been a while. As you can tell, I took a bit of a hiatus from Scrapbooking. I realized that I needed it back in my life. I have re-found my design style which is all about mixing patterns, focusing on titles and photos and layering it all up. Gold is also a new favorite, gold everything! So yeah, I missed it and I'm back at it. Scrapbooking is amazing, through it, I have found lifelong friends and discover new people that share this passion everyday. Scrapbooking helps me wind down, relax and creating heals my soul. It literally makes me happy. I need more happy in my life and this is it.

Today is NSD! How fun is that we have a holiday for scrapbooking!? Too bad it’s not a paid day off! Unfortch, for me, luck would have it that I work today. I really would have loved to spend the day with scrappy friends and make pretty things.

Over on Instagram, (ya know, my second home) I’ve been chatting with my crafty girls and we are all need a crafty get together. So lets make it happen! I would like to organize a local get together. Have my friends at Chic Tags be involved, have fun music playing, make a cute photo booth and adorable props, chalkboard art, maybe prizes, just get together and have a fabulous day of it! I’m going to plan this. I have to think central location, maybe San Jose. This sounds very interesting and very, fun! I’ll be posting details as I go. Let me know if you are nearby and would like to be a part of it!!!!!

Last week I went to Scrapbook Island in San Jose with my good friend Stacey and we attended her Design Team crop at her store. They actually have rooms where you can rent for events (hello!! Perfect!) and a great store full of goodies. I picked up a few of Crate Paper’s new The Pier Line, which is amazing. lots of beautiful gold touches. They also carry a wide variety of Studio Calico goodies!

Here are a few sneaks only, since one is for the May Scrapjack! :

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

It's May already? Where has the time gone? We are almost halfway through Twenty10! I've been playing with paper and glue lately and recently came up with this layout featuring the new Spring Tags from Shabby Shic Crafts! Loving the awesome Springtime colors and cute designs Veronica and Albert have come up with this time around. This silly little picture of me and my daughter was taken from one of those token taking machines that take your picture and the computer "draws" it out on paper. You know the the ones they have at Chuck E. Cheese type of places? Of all the pictures I have, this has got to be one of my favorite ones I have of me and my baby girl when she was about one and a half. A little closer. loving the cluster above the picture. To celebrate NSD, Shabby Shic Crafts and the Design Team Members are hosting a fun Blog Hop and giveaway! Leave a comment for a chance to win a package of 30 fantastic Tags from Shabby Shic! Where's that baby, huh?

Lot's of emails waiting for me in my inbox that had not been checked in almost one month in a half, (Gasp!!!!) that had been asking if I had given birth yet or if I was going on a 2 year long pregnancy. Even though it seemed that way, either that or I was having a 20 lb baby (ouch..or a 12 lb'er like my local sb friend!)....anywhoo..... Aubrielle Rose Padilla came into this world a whole 2 weeks early, much to my surprise, because I was expecting her around the 14th!... she weighed a hefty 7.2 lbs (I'm kidding, since J was a 9 lber!!) and was a full 20 inches long. She's got all 10 fingers and toes, a full head of dark hair, and she's Jaden's mini me, just a smaller version of him, but with girl parts. lol Hard delivery, long delivery, it seriously dropped kicked me on my caboose. Aubrielle had a bad case of jaundace that we had to address with daily trips to the hopspital but I'm happy to report that she's much better now. I'm sorry this post dos
