Happy Shoes that once were Sad...

My night time ritual after getting the kids in bed is putting together my outfit for work the next day. I look over my closet, decide what to wear from shoes to earrings. Tomorrow I'm wearing brown dress pants, tan-sort-of-military jacket, mustard color blouse with a bib type of ruffle thing going on on top and a leopard print scarf........the shoes is what i usually mull over for a while. The deal-breaker on the shoes is usually decided if can I walk in these or will my feet be hating me at the end of my shift? Flats are usually my go to shoe and I remembered that I had a pair of satin ballerina flats in a gorgeous chocolate color I could wear! Whoooo! Happy Dance!

Then I realized, that the last time I wore them, the jewel embellishments had fallen out.

I thought about tossing them out and then the lightbulb went on.

l just make something to cover the embellishment. I quickly went through my ribbons and lace from my scrapbooking stash and found something that would work.....then gathered my supplies: glue gun, glue sticks, scissors and brown lace. Made a few lace trim rosettes and glued those suckers on!

So my sad shoes that almost bit the dust have risen from the ashes and transformed into a cute pair of ON TREND flats to wear!
Happy Wednesday Peeps!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

It's May already? Where has the time gone? We are almost halfway through Twenty10! I've been playing with paper and glue lately and recently came up with this layout featuring the new Spring Tags from Shabby Shic Crafts! Loving the awesome Springtime colors and cute designs Veronica and Albert have come up with this time around. This silly little picture of me and my daughter was taken from one of those token taking machines that take your picture and the computer "draws" it out on paper. You know the the ones they have at Chuck E. Cheese type of places? Of all the pictures I have, this has got to be one of my favorite ones I have of me and my baby girl when she was about one and a half. A little closer. loving the cluster above the picture. To celebrate NSD, Shabby Shic Crafts and the Design Team Members are hosting a fun Blog Hop and giveaway! Leave a comment for a chance to win a package of 30 fantastic Tags from Shabby Shic! Where's that baby, huh?

Lot's of emails waiting for me in my inbox that had not been checked in almost one month in a half, (Gasp!!!!) that had been asking if I had given birth yet or if I was going on a 2 year long pregnancy. Even though it seemed that way, either that or I was having a 20 lb baby (ouch..or a 12 lb'er like my local sb friend!)....anywhoo..... Aubrielle Rose Padilla came into this world a whole 2 weeks early, much to my surprise, because I was expecting her around the 14th!... she weighed a hefty 7.2 lbs (I'm kidding, since J was a 9 lber!!) and was a full 20 inches long. She's got all 10 fingers and toes, a full head of dark hair, and she's Jaden's mini me, just a smaller version of him, but with girl parts. lol Hard delivery, long delivery, it seriously dropped kicked me on my caboose. Aubrielle had a bad case of jaundace that we had to address with daily trips to the hopspital but I'm happy to report that she's much better now. I'm sorry this post dos
