So I'm a little late.....

getting in on this whole Twilight business. I've never been on the cusp of what is going on with the Bestseller reading lists, but I finally caught on to the Twilight buzz. I only really got interested in it when alot of scrapbooking chicks were uploading their Twilight inspired layouts. References to Forks, Silver Volvos and Team Edwards. What is all this business about? I thought. One of the girls work in particular that I noticed was Kristy Lynn's. Very cool layouts, inspired from a book. Hmmmmmmmmm.

While I was shopping at Marshall's recently, minding my business looking for home decor items, Cal-King sheets to be precise, I found a book wedged into the shelf, mixed in with the Wamsutta and Ralph Lauren bedding. The book was kinda thick I thought and then I saw the cover atwork with hands gently holding a beautiful red apple. There it was, Twilight. At Marshall's?...I thought that was weird. I put it in my cart and continued to shop around and made it to the register. "Register two is open" said the voice recording and I made my final decision to go ahead and buy it. Plus at $6.99, deal.

I've had it for about 2 weeks and finally on Valentine's Day I opened it and finished it Sunday evening. I have not read a book in quite a long time. I mean duh, I read but not novels on a regular basis. The thing about books is that when I start reading, I don't want to put it down until I'm finished. I read it until I get a headache and I feel like I waste so much time. On what I don't know, because reading it is better for my brain than watching Rock of Love Bus. (ROL rant below)......anyway, back to the book, I loved it. Edward and Bella even entered my dreams that night. Crazy. I truly enjoyed it.

After I read it, I thought that maybe I just might see if it was still playing at the theater a couple of blocks from me. No dice. As it was, David was having a cow that I would consider going to a movie by myself. Hello, I don't need you to hold my hand at the movies......just watch the kids buddy and friggen relax dude! So then I call Fandango and it's not playing within 30 miles of me. I found out today after a bit of googling, it came out in November 2008. Seems like it was just a few weeks ago! I didn't dare read the Sneak Peek at the end of the book for New Moon. I know the way I am, I would have wanted to read it that night. That meant I would have to go out in the rain to Walmart at 11pm. Hell to the No.

So after reading it, I'm down for the next in the series. I even contemplated going to the east side of town and buying a bootleg Twilight Movie. But then I thought it would be my luck that cops would do a pirated movie bust and there I would be exchanging cash for the dvd and pictured my self in jail over Twilight. So I'll pass on that and wait till the movie comes out on dvd this March, March 21st to be exact. The only thing I'm worried about is how it will probably pale in comparison to what I envision in my mind.

ROL rant: BTW, Brett's wigs are getting worse, it looks like plastic barbie hair and the eyeliner is so racoon'ish. Oh and the Ho's, are more ho'ish than ever! Trainwreck, he might find a new STD but not love this time around.

BTW, the new Scrapjacked is up! I'll be adding mine soon! Check it out and play along because there is a fantastic prize from Kenner Road attached for the winner!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

It's May already? Where has the time gone? We are almost halfway through Twenty10! I've been playing with paper and glue lately and recently came up with this layout featuring the new Spring Tags from Shabby Shic Crafts! Loving the awesome Springtime colors and cute designs Veronica and Albert have come up with this time around. This silly little picture of me and my daughter was taken from one of those token taking machines that take your picture and the computer "draws" it out on paper. You know the the ones they have at Chuck E. Cheese type of places? Of all the pictures I have, this has got to be one of my favorite ones I have of me and my baby girl when she was about one and a half. A little closer. loving the cluster above the picture. To celebrate NSD, Shabby Shic Crafts and the Design Team Members are hosting a fun Blog Hop and giveaway! Leave a comment for a chance to win a package of 30 fantastic Tags from Shabby Shic! Where's that baby, huh?

Lot's of emails waiting for me in my inbox that had not been checked in almost one month in a half, (Gasp!!!!) that had been asking if I had given birth yet or if I was going on a 2 year long pregnancy. Even though it seemed that way, either that or I was having a 20 lb baby (ouch..or a 12 lb'er like my local sb friend!)....anywhoo..... Aubrielle Rose Padilla came into this world a whole 2 weeks early, much to my surprise, because I was expecting her around the 14th!... she weighed a hefty 7.2 lbs (I'm kidding, since J was a 9 lber!!) and was a full 20 inches long. She's got all 10 fingers and toes, a full head of dark hair, and she's Jaden's mini me, just a smaller version of him, but with girl parts. lol Hard delivery, long delivery, it seriously dropped kicked me on my caboose. Aubrielle had a bad case of jaundace that we had to address with daily trips to the hopspital but I'm happy to report that she's much better now. I'm sorry this post dos
