xmas funny

so we take the kids to the mall for their annual
christmas picture on santa's lap. We've got
a bit of a line to wait in and Jaden tells me
"Mommy, I don't want to take a picture with
santa." I ask WHY? Are you scared of Santa?
He says "no, im not scared of him." So i ask
him again, why don't you want to? Jaden says in
his little voice, "well, he knows what i've been
doing, because the song says he knows if you've
been bad or good." Then I say, we'll you've got
a few more days before Christmas so maybe if
your really good, he'll see that your doing better.

After waiting in line and watching Jaden eyeball
Santa for a while, finally it's our turn to take
our photos. He sits next to santa, looks him
straight in the eye and says "Santa, i've been
a bit naughty." I wanted to bust out in laughter
at that point. Santa just looked at me and let out
a little chuckle. I guess Jaden felt the need to
confess to the jolly dude about his misbehaving.
I really didn't get to hear Santa's response to
Jaden because I was tending to Aubrielle who
wasn't really sure who this man was and started
to get a little scared of him. The photo came
out ok and Jaden asked santa for a Star Wars
ship and other random star wars items. Santa
reminded Jaden to be a good boy on the way out
and let out a "HO HO HO."

it was cute.
but what i loved the best is that Jaden believes.
he believes that santa is magical and good
He believes that santa is checking up on him.
oh, to be 5 years old again.

i haven't scanned the photo but here is a
fantastic artist rendering of what took
place......hehee.

Last night was tamale making night. We made 338.
I know that sounds like a lot but, we have alot
of family coming to my sisiters and everyone will
get to take some home, which is nice! :) We played
christmas music, laughed at eachother and had a
pretty good time, even though making all those
tamales is hard work!

Hope everyone has a happy holiday and merry christmas!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

It's May already? Where has the time gone? We are almost halfway through Twenty10! I've been playing with paper and glue lately and recently came up with this layout featuring the new Spring Tags from Shabby Shic Crafts! Loving the awesome Springtime colors and cute designs Veronica and Albert have come up with this time around. This silly little picture of me and my daughter was taken from one of those token taking machines that take your picture and the computer "draws" it out on paper. You know the the ones they have at Chuck E. Cheese type of places? Of all the pictures I have, this has got to be one of my favorite ones I have of me and my baby girl when she was about one and a half. A little closer. loving the cluster above the picture. To celebrate NSD, Shabby Shic Crafts and the Design Team Members are hosting a fun Blog Hop and giveaway! Leave a comment for a chance to win a package of 30 fantastic Tags from Shabby Shic! Where's that baby, huh?

Lot's of emails waiting for me in my inbox that had not been checked in almost one month in a half, (Gasp!!!!) that had been asking if I had given birth yet or if I was going on a 2 year long pregnancy. Even though it seemed that way, either that or I was having a 20 lb baby (ouch..or a 12 lb'er like my local sb friend!)....anywhoo..... Aubrielle Rose Padilla came into this world a whole 2 weeks early, much to my surprise, because I was expecting her around the 14th!... she weighed a hefty 7.2 lbs (I'm kidding, since J was a 9 lber!!) and was a full 20 inches long. She's got all 10 fingers and toes, a full head of dark hair, and she's Jaden's mini me, just a smaller version of him, but with girl parts. lol Hard delivery, long delivery, it seriously dropped kicked me on my caboose. Aubrielle had a bad case of jaundace that we had to address with daily trips to the hopspital but I'm happy to report that she's much better now. I'm sorry this post dos
