"Be thankful for what you've got"

word.

a lovely little old lady, about 87 years young, came in to my work today and after conversating with her for a bit, dropped that statement on me.

words to live by.
and boy am I thankful.

Ya know, it's almost been one year that my Dad passed away. Wow, it went by fast. If anyone remembers from a previous post, I finally met my long lost 10 brothers and sisters on my Dad's side. I've kept in touch with a sister who is a few years younger than me and I've talked to my oldest brother a few times this year. Infact I saw another brother today. We talked, we hugged. It was cool. I hope to keep those communication lines open. I kept on seeing my Dad in his face. I wonder if he does the same with me, since my mom is always telling me i resemble my father all the time.

wait. i need to stop typing about this for now, im getting sad. :(

let's change the sub....

those two little people are reasons why I know I'm thankful.

PS.
I now realize my spelling error on "Meant to be"
I had a DER moment.
Messed up thing is that I used this super bondo quick dry adhesive glue by Scotch that is going to be a beeeeeeeeeeeeyotch to fix. Might have to replace the cardstock and re-attach everything.
Double DER.
oy.

  1. Did your dad have two families??? I think there was a similar situation with my BFF...she just met her brothers and sisters (and they didn't really know about her, just a rumor that they may have another sister from another mother)

  2. It's weird how a comment can totally set your world straight every now and then, huh?!

Your right, those babies are sweeties to be thankful for!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

It's May already? Where has the time gone? We are almost halfway through Twenty10! I've been playing with paper and glue lately and recently came up with this layout featuring the new Spring Tags from Shabby Shic Crafts! Loving the awesome Springtime colors and cute designs Veronica and Albert have come up with this time around. This silly little picture of me and my daughter was taken from one of those token taking machines that take your picture and the computer "draws" it out on paper. You know the the ones they have at Chuck E. Cheese type of places? Of all the pictures I have, this has got to be one of my favorite ones I have of me and my baby girl when she was about one and a half. A little closer. loving the cluster above the picture. To celebrate NSD, Shabby Shic Crafts and the Design Team Members are hosting a fun Blog Hop and giveaway! Leave a comment for a chance to win a package of 30 fantastic Tags from Shabby Shic! Where's that baby, huh?

Lot's of emails waiting for me in my inbox that had not been checked in almost one month in a half, (Gasp!!!!) that had been asking if I had given birth yet or if I was going on a 2 year long pregnancy. Even though it seemed that way, either that or I was having a 20 lb baby (ouch..or a 12 lb'er like my local sb friend!)....anywhoo..... Aubrielle Rose Padilla came into this world a whole 2 weeks early, much to my surprise, because I was expecting her around the 14th!... she weighed a hefty 7.2 lbs (I'm kidding, since J was a 9 lber!!) and was a full 20 inches long. She's got all 10 fingers and toes, a full head of dark hair, and she's Jaden's mini me, just a smaller version of him, but with girl parts. lol Hard delivery, long delivery, it seriously dropped kicked me on my caboose. Aubrielle had a bad case of jaundace that we had to address with daily trips to the hopspital but I'm happy to report that she's much better now. I'm sorry this post dos
