Room Re-Do

I painted our room last Thursday...........I sent David to get the colors and well, they are a bit off of what I initially wanted but eh, it will do. Later on I plan to wash the walls with a lighter color to tone it down a bit. The flash is on in the pictures so it messes with the colors.

New things:

New chocolate brown comforter, shams, bed skirt

Velvelt Brown Curtains

Terra Cotta, Tealy Blue Curtains (I had the hardest time finding the right shade....i had to settle for these)

Turquoise Vase and "thingies"...lol I have no idea what those sticks are called! lol
Mosquito Netting....i had to tweak it to make it work for the room.
Wall Border
Lamps
Throws and Decorative Pillows.

Yeah, i like alot of pillows. heheheheh

The Border was a royal pain in the arse to put up. I really don't do "instructions" and wing it.............so I think hmmmmmmm forget immursing this in water for 5 minutes, let's just use a water spray gun and put it up.
Um, yeah, bad move.
It kept on puckering and falling off.
Finally i had to break down and put it up according to the instructions.
Who would have known, it worked!
lol
yeah im a dork.

  8. Wow! It does totally look like you. So Rockstar! I love the color combo. If it would've been me, I'd grabbed my spray adhesive to hold it down. Probably even my stapler. lol. Giving you props for doing it the "right" way.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

It's May already? Where has the time gone? We are almost halfway through Twenty10! I've been playing with paper and glue lately and recently came up with this layout featuring the new Spring Tags from Shabby Shic Crafts! Loving the awesome Springtime colors and cute designs Veronica and Albert have come up with this time around. This silly little picture of me and my daughter was taken from one of those token taking machines that take your picture and the computer "draws" it out on paper. You know the the ones they have at Chuck E. Cheese type of places? Of all the pictures I have, this has got to be one of my favorite ones I have of me and my baby girl when she was about one and a half. A little closer. loving the cluster above the picture. To celebrate NSD, Shabby Shic Crafts and the Design Team Members are hosting a fun Blog Hop and giveaway! Leave a comment for a chance to win a package of 30 fantastic Tags from Shabby Shic! Where's that baby, huh?

Lot's of emails waiting for me in my inbox that had not been checked in almost one month in a half, (Gasp!!!!) that had been asking if I had given birth yet or if I was going on a 2 year long pregnancy. Even though it seemed that way, either that or I was having a 20 lb baby (ouch..or a 12 lb'er like my local sb friend!)....anywhoo..... Aubrielle Rose Padilla came into this world a whole 2 weeks early, much to my surprise, because I was expecting her around the 14th!... she weighed a hefty 7.2 lbs (I'm kidding, since J was a 9 lber!!) and was a full 20 inches long. She's got all 10 fingers and toes, a full head of dark hair, and she's Jaden's mini me, just a smaller version of him, but with girl parts. lol Hard delivery, long delivery, it seriously dropped kicked me on my caboose. Aubrielle had a bad case of jaundace that we had to address with daily trips to the hopspital but I'm happy to report that she's much better now. I'm sorry this post dos...
