Fabulous Day!

I'm still super pumped up from visiting Hambly Studios in Santa Clara! OMG! All that Hambly in one place......YAY! In the back of the studio they set up a little shopping section and I got my shop on!!!!! Tons of awesome overlays and papers..........and even some limited edition stuff! Allison Kreft who designs the papers took a group of us on a tour of the studio..........we saw the actual screen prints being made! The prints are actually hand screen silked, one by one then put through a dryer, then quality control inspected. It was super cool to see the big machines and cool paint stained screen print templates.........awesome. I loved it. I had no idea that Hambly made stickers too! Michael's carries all of their metallic stickers, like what teachers and kids use. They even make callendars too!

Allison showed us how she comes up with designs and her cool scrap space she has set up in the studio. Totally sweet and cool girl. Hambly is going places people! Can't wait to see what they have in store for us in the future! I loved getting the opportunity to meet her and see the studio!
Later that day I drove to Suzy West's house in Fremont. Suzy has a store in her garage, aptly called "The Garage!" How cool is that? She had tons of cool papers and supplies everything from KI paper to Petaloo flowers and Technique Tuesdays stamps. It was awesome! Being that it was about 90 degrees outside we were all baking like cupcakes in "The Garage"......they had tons of fans going...........now to the fun part! Ali and Cathy Z were there!!! Ali is really tall and super funny/loud! I thought her to be more of the quiet type......she was totally fun! She loved my necklace and shoes......and we compared holes in our trendy jeans.......how cute is she? Cathy remembered me from Alabama and the Scrap ETC event! She had nothing but great things to say about the event and Monique! Snapped a few pics with them and finally made it home by 10 p.m.

Blogger is not letting me post pics...................click on the link below to see them on a PhotoBucket stream.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

It's May already? Where has the time gone? We are almost halfway through Twenty10! I've been playing with paper and glue lately and recently came up with this layout featuring the new Spring Tags from Shabby Shic Crafts! Loving the awesome Springtime colors and cute designs Veronica and Albert have come up with this time around. This silly little picture of me and my daughter was taken from one of those token taking machines that take your picture and the computer "draws" it out on paper. You know the the ones they have at Chuck E. Cheese type of places? Of all the pictures I have, this has got to be one of my favorite ones I have of me and my baby girl when she was about one and a half. A little closer. loving the cluster above the picture. To celebrate NSD, Shabby Shic Crafts and the Design Team Members are hosting a fun Blog Hop and giveaway! Leave a comment for a chance to win a package of 30 fantastic Tags from Shabby Shic! Where's that baby, huh?

Lot's of emails waiting for me in my inbox that had not been checked in almost one month in a half, (Gasp!!!!) that had been asking if I had given birth yet or if I was going on a 2 year long pregnancy. Even though it seemed that way, either that or I was having a 20 lb baby (ouch..or a 12 lb'er like my local sb friend!)....anywhoo..... Aubrielle Rose Padilla came into this world a whole 2 weeks early, much to my surprise, because I was expecting her around the 14th!... she weighed a hefty 7.2 lbs (I'm kidding, since J was a 9 lber!!) and was a full 20 inches long. She's got all 10 fingers and toes, a full head of dark hair, and she's Jaden's mini me, just a smaller version of him, but with girl parts. lol Hard delivery, long delivery, it seriously dropped kicked me on my caboose. Aubrielle had a bad case of jaundace that we had to address with daily trips to the hopspital but I'm happy to report that she's much better now. I'm sorry this post dos
